Question:
Do you ever open SPAM e-mail?

Choices:
Open Home Mortgage SPAM
Open cheap prescription SPAM
Open "enhancement" products SPAM
Open other types of SPAM if it looks interesting
NEVER open SPAM e-mail

I usually open stuff to see what it might be. Especiall when it doesn't look like obvioius spam and I want to check to make sure it's not something. Nothing ever happens so eh.

I wouldn't intentionally open it- EVEN if it something I am interested in. I don't want to encourage them. I have heard they sometimes can tell if the email has been opened. (I don't trust any of it)

If I'm not sure its spam, I click properties and check the source. The WORST thing is to unsubscribe to anything. It verifies your address!

I NEVER open it. I have "Mail washer" that enables me to "view" it before I open it, so I can tell at that point that it needs to be dumped! :-)

Tree,
Is that the most recent version of Mailwasher you have, or the older version thats compatible with Hotmail? I had the older one, and lost it, now I cant find a copy of it again.

Any silent voters out there who open their SPAM? Surely someone must - or the spammers wouldn't do it in the first place!

Like most others, I will not open
unsolicited mail. SPAM sucks, whether
it is in the inbox or the cupboard.

Hey chris! I liked Mailwasher and bought it. They send updates when available, so mine would definately be the most recent! Wink

Tree,
Thanks, but its not quite what I was looking for. I'd like to find the older free version with support for Hotmail in it. I know its hard to find as I've gone crazy to find it myself. Thanks for trying though, I appreciate it! Smile

I use this now.

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/spamaid.html

Matches my OE or WAB Windows Adress Book entries and if no match. Well then see ya. Bub-eye. And straight from program so the rest stays on the server and can be viewed on any machine. POP3 mail.

I am so desperate for attention that I open, read and reply to all emails. Even the Ones that I know are viruses.

So utterly bored with life that I will quickly drop what ever it is that I am doing to click on all pop-up ads - even those I am not interested in.

Such is life for me, and I assume millions of others, obviously, or why else would spam and pop-up ads be still used as a form of advertisement?
