Hi all,
I am a little curious as to how many of our members use a Linux Operating system all the time, or even half the time while on the web? I am currently checking into the Mandrake 9.0 system to put on a backup computer for the net. Thanks for all responses!

I use Suse at the moment, but Mandrake is good too. I do not think it is complicated at all, and so much more stable than those "lovely" Microsoft products.

Silja,
Thanks for the response! I have won two auctions on ebay for both the new Knoppix 3.1, and Mandrake 9.0, so I'll be able to check them out soon. They wont go on my main pc yet, but when I get another backup after giving this one to my sister, I can put it on it. Thanks again!

XP is pretty stable! And I took a whole 8 week thing on LINUX! Everythin form installation to LILO to Ethernet config and progam setup was a pain! Mandrake was the easiest or Caldera works good too! But 95, 98, or XP is much better!

I switch between Virtual Linux and Winblows. Virtual Linux can run completely off a cd-r so you never have to partition or format your hard drive! http://www.virtual-linux.org/

Eventually, when I get a house, I hope to have sevral pc's to try all these O.S.'s on. I would like to have a pc for almost all the windows systems, and one each for Linux, LOL. Dream on huh? Smile
