does anyone know if john lodge is a grandfather and will Ray Thomas be coming back to the Moodies soon

I checked quite a few informative sites and couldn't find anything about having a grandkid. If he was, I'd think I'd see it somewhere. And I didn't see anything about Thomas returning. I read that it seems like his leave is permenant.
