You are more than likely having an intolerance for something in your lotion or soap. Try using a soap like jergens unscented, or any unscented and dye free soaps, and lotions. The lotions that are out there for sensitive skin can also have something it in that you could react to. Try to avoid anything with menthol in it. Just try this and see if it gets better. If not, go see your doctor with this problem.

Hi Hassia! wink

I have sensitive skin. I use Cetaphil products on my face, and Eucerin body lotion. They are a little bit more expensive, but you gotta do what ya gotta do.

I have very sensitive skin. My doctor suggested using Oil Of Olay for sensitive skin. It has really helped. I do not use it on my face because I have oily skin there. I don't itch like I did. But it did take awhile to get use to it. I always used Lever or Zest and you feel clean when you are done. But with this you are clean but it moisturizes you and it is just a different feeling. He also told me that Tide is the worse for sensitive skin. He says Cheer Clear is the best. I was better just switching soaps.

There are usually 2 faucets. One marked C and the other one H. I think what you may be doing is only using the one marked H.Try using both faucets. If you do this the water may feel less hot and your skin too.

Sounds like a soap reaction. Perhaps the soap you are using in your shower, plus the detergent you may be washing your towels with are combining to give you trouble.

I recommend switching to a mild bath soap, like ivory and rinsing your washing machine twice before you take your clothes from the washer to the dryer. I double-rinse my clothes and when I peek in on the second rinse cycle, I'm surprised to see how much soap is still floating around in the water.

Lots of people, me included, probably use too much detergent in the washing machine -- maybe you should cut yours back a bit.

Actually, Baltimore may not be so far from a solution. ;-)
My son has mild exczema and he used to get very red and itchy behind his knees, on his shins and in his elbows after a bath - which sound similar to what you get. The warm/hot water aggravated the condition. We now run the bath a little cooler for him and his symptoms are greatly reduced, though we do still apply a prescribed cream afterwards to cool the area down.

I remembered something else my doctor said. Avoid long hot baths. That will dry your skin out more. Also it is Cheer Free not clear. The Oil of Olay sensitive skin soap really did help me you might try it.
