Urgh. Again, nasty.

I have balckheads. I don't want them. Are there any non-prescription cremes or rubs or whatever that I can use? And how do I go about getting them off my face?

sorry for all the beautiful mental pictures, lol.

Black heads are nothing more than clogged pores and oil glands. Over abundance production of oil mixes with the dead skin cells and fills up the pore. The first step to getting rid of them is proper cleansing. Start with a washcloth in very warm water and place it on your face. This will open the pores. Then use a gentle cleanser, regular bath soap is too strong for facial tissue, and lather up. Rinse well and then apply a cold wash cloth to close the pores. A note though, to much face washing will increase the oil production. You just need to wash once or twice a day.

There is also an implement you can buy in the cosmetic department of a drug store or a family store. It is called a "Black Head Extractor" (actually there is a fancier name for it) and is a stainless steel tool about 3 inches long with a rounded end. There is a hole at the end and you place the tip against your skin and press down gently. This will lift up the black-head. It is safer to use this implement then to be tempted to squeeze with your fingers as doing that can damage the delicate capillaries, bruise the skin, and introduce bacteria to the pore.

And yes, the stips Methos mentions "Biore" will work but if your skin is delicate you might find it a rather tedious task to remove!
