I would just like to remind everyone to be very careful in the sun.I always took this forgranted until my Uncle passed away in March from melanoma. My kids have wore more sunscreen this summer than they have in thier whole life!!If you see a small mole or freckle that does not look right by all means have it looked at.My son is 8 and I have had him to the doctor once this summer for a mole on his back.Maybe I am paranoid....but then again it was a HUGE wake-up call!

dangerguly9, thank you.

People need to be reminded to use sunscreen...I for one, am very light complected...I don't spend much time in the sun. but when I do, I use SPF 30 or more.

The sun can be brutal...protect yourselves

I have never been a sunworshiper or sunbather. I always considered it boring to lie in the sun. Also, I am very fair and so would burn super easy. Even though I avoided the sun, I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 1983. I had had two serious sunburns in my life: age 7 and age 21. Surgeon felt the sunburn at age 7 was the culprit. I am very aware of any changes in my skin and also get checked routinely.

Everyone should use sunscreen and be aware of any skin changes. A side benefit of avoiding the sun is a younger appearance. I am often mistaken as quite a bit younger than I really am. Learn not to burn! Smile

All this summer is me walking around my campus and every morning (well, almost. I've forgotten a few times) I put on sunscreen. By 11:00, the sun is really shining down.

Good tip.
