According to Wikipedia, "Benzac" is benzoyl peroxide. Also, according to Wikipedia, benzoyl peroxide removes the top layer of skin, which also decreases the sun protective effect (roughly SPF 3). This can cause sunburn and premature aging if sun protection is not worn.

I also found funny the inclusion of the following sentence in the post above.

While I suppose my skin could be considered to be leather, I'd rather not think about it, at least while I'm using the skin for its original purpose.

This does help explain all those people with skin like old baseball gloves.
