Ever once in a while my deodorant will cause a itching rash under my arms (now I ask myself, where the 'el else would I use it )... Usually , I just lay off using any...but this time I grabbed the "Gold Bond" and sprinkled it on....Guess what ??? It worked perfectly and quickly.... Another plus for Gold Bond.... Wonder what next..? NO, MABLE, ITS NOT A SUBSITUTE FOR POWDERED SUGAR !!!!

I sometimes get razor burn that reacts really awfully with deodorant. I've found that a good aloe moisturizer after showering (whether I've shaved or not) really works wonders. It keeps the area from getting too dry, even if I don't have the rash, and I haven't had an itchy rash in a long time. I've also found Gold Bond and Cortisone to be very helpful when the itching is bad.

Are you two sure that it is deodorant that is causing the problem? A lot of people--me included--have a problem with anti-perspirant, which actually does something to your pores. Deodorant just deals with the odor and does not cause the problems that anti-perspirant can cause. I still use anti-perspirant, even though it causes my armpit to develop big bumps. On the weekends, I use deodorant.

It sounds like you have contact dermatitis. It is a reaction to a substance you are sensitive to. Hydrocortisone cream will get rid of the redness and itching. Stick with whatever does not cause this reaction. Also about shaving rash. Use mens shaving cream before you shave.
