here´s something i have been contemplating lately.
i have been thinking about the relation between using lotion and getting wrinkles. i can imagine that using lotion only lets your skin strech better and therefore allows wrinkles. just like a pregnany woman using lotion to allow her skin to stretch.
wouldn´t it be better to not use lotion on your face and let your skin stay a little tight (after washing) until it mosturizes itself?

Hmmmm...now that's an interesting idea. But then how would you explain the way people who spent too much time in the sun look? The whole premature aging thing? The sun dries out your skin.

the sun has ultra violet rays which alter the skin tissue and cells, that´s how cancer starts. it´s a little different than just not using lotion.
p.s. i am also from chicago. do you know the daily bar and grill on lincoln ave. in lincoln square? i recommend their steak salad very highly.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind what you just said...but here are some facts...wrinkles are the cause of collegen in the skin breaking down...from expression, dehydration, sundammage ect...the tightness you are feeling is due to ph balance in your products...soap is awful for the skin..it clogs pores and dehydrates the skin...this is a feeling of cleaness but only one that is in ones mind! The best products to help prevent wrinkles are pH balanced...and ones that hydrate the skin...so you don't have the tight feeling. Strech marks cannot be prevented through creams...it is within the dermis that these start and they are no less than scars...the dermis is pulled as far as it can go...is is a matter of genes that will tell you if you will be able to avoid this no lotion. I hope this helps ...
