Hi,

I have extremely dry skin and yet i still get pimples! Anyone have a solution to this problem? I'm afraid of using moisturizers since I do get pimples and every cleanser I use dries out my skin so much! (even water alone dries out my skin Confused )

I'm at a lost, every site I search concerning pimples they always assume you have oily skin but in my case I'm exactly the opposite... Please help!

Hi jokky12 and Jess. Welcome to Answerpool. Smile

Over washing your face can cause your skin to become drier than normal. Now that winter is here, I'm sure its getting worse. There are many great products on the market. Always buy facial cleansers and moisturizers for sensitive skin.

I found that Clean&Clear Sensitive Skin Foaming Facial Cleanser by Johnson and Johnson is a great facial cleanser. I'm looking at the bottle right now. Smile The bottle says: Oil-free formula gently removes dirt, oil & makeup. It costs about $5.00 and rinses very clean. The moisturizer works excellent.

I also use is Neutrogena Moisture Oil Free Formula, Sensitive Skin.
This too is around $5.00 a bottle.
Although it goes on sort of watery, it really does moisturize your face.

If you wear foundation to cover your acne, do you put a powder on to get the shine off your face? The powder WILL dry out your face. Always use a moisturizer before putting on makeup. Make sure the moisturizer dries first or your makeup won't go on smoothly.

Don't forget to drink lots of water. I know- I know, we all hear to drink 8 glasses of water a day Roll Eyes. I know you know that. Big Grin If your skin or lips are dry then you are dehydrated. It can happen quickly. This weather is so bad on your skin. Make sure you wear gloves and a scarf. Wrap the scarf against your face to protect your skin from the harsh wind. That will help.

I have heard that Proactive works really well but it is VERY expensive.

There are many different kind of acne. There are also many different myths about acne. If you get some time please Click here and check out this site. It is sponsored by Proactive but it has a LOT of useful information. Since everyone is different, you need to pick what is best for your skin type. There are many myths and misconceptions about acne. The site has some great tips like the ones listed below:

Tip #1: Don't over-wash.
Tip #2: Skip harsh scrubs.
Tip #3: Say no to alcohol.
Tip #4: Don't squeeze or pick.
Tip #5: Hands off!
Tip #6: Work out, wash off.

Find a regimen and stick with it.

If you do find something that works for you, please post back and let us know. We love learning about things that REALLY work. Smile

Thank you for your wishes! But I have a question: this facial cleanser that you're talking about (Clean&Clear Sensitive Skin Foaming Facial Cleanser by Johnson and Johnson) is natural? Because I seem to have some kind of allergy to chemicals and Asla Vital was the only thing that worked for me. Thanks!

Best regards,
Jess.

You aren't trying to sell the product are you Jess? Wink

I don't think Clean & Clear is 100% natural but it still works well. Johnson and Johnson has been making sensitive skin products for many years. They create products for sensitive skin- especially babies. I trust that.

If anyone decides to buy Asla Vital, do not click on the link above. I don't know anything about Asla Vital but I think there may be some sort of computer tracking to that link. They also try to get you to be a wholesaler or distributor. One of the lotions costs around $25.00. One of the face kits is $150.00. There are higher priced items.

If you want check the product out go here. Its a fresh link.

Thanks for sharing with us Jess. It may work for jokky. Smile

I am closing this thread, as it seems to be an ad magnet. Clare had a telling point, that these testimonials are probably from sales people.
