You may very well be allergic to the material, or to the process by which it was made, or to something it was exposed to. Wash the thing a couple of times in hot water, and if it still makes you itch, toss it. Get a different bra. The last thing you need is for your bra to make you uncomfortable. Boobs are uncomfortable enough without the itching! For your skin, use some cortisone or polysporin to stop the itch and sooth it. Good luck!
p.s. there is no reason why you should be embarrassed to tell your grandmother about this. It’s just a bra, it’s not like it’s a tampon issue! And even that… Well, if you have a real problem, you have got to be able to talk to someone real about it.
