every night the skin on my shins and knees itches so much no matter how much lotion i put on them.
now it is starting to itch during the day as well!
help! what should i do?

Do you have a rash? Have you switched laundry detergent brands? You could be allergic to something you are using to launder your sheets (and clothes).

there is no rash at all. if it were an allergy to detergent, wouldn´t the rest of me be itchy too?

Not necessarily. It was just a thought. Detergents sometimes make me itch, so I'll have to switch back.

Have you been tramping around in the woods? I don't know if it's present where you live, but we have plenty of weeds here that will make you itch like fury: poison oak, poison ivy, etc.

If this doesn't go away in a few days, I'd see a doctor. In the meantime, take some antihistimine. If this helps, it's an allergy, all right.
