Magick is magick, nothing more nothing less. It is a way to use energy in order to achieve your goals. It is neither light or dark, good or evil, it simply is. It is the intent of the user which can make it either “good” or “bad.” There is really do such thing as a “white witch” or “white magick.” A “white witch” is simply a witch who does not harm others with her magick. Magick should never ever be used “like a weapon,” but it can certainly be used to cause harm, by those of lesser ethics. This is not “black magick,” this is simply magick used with harmful intent. Honilov, magick is the act of casting spells, but there can be more to it than that. Herbalism is also often considered magickal, as are chants and energy raising. But spellwork is certainly magick. As for “dark magick,” there certainly are some who call what they do dark magick. The only dark magick I am acquainted with is dark moon magick, which is simply magick that is performed under the Dark Moon (as opposed to the New Moon or Full Moon).
Yes, a dead fish left out to dry will certainly have negative effects on anyone near it. And it could certainly be associated with voodoo or so-called black magick, but anyone might incorporate a dead fish into their spellwork, not only those with wicked intentions.
