I do. I have told my mother I must have previously been a 50's person. I feel as if I had been a "teen" or in my 20's in the 50's and died to early or something.

Everything about the 50's (which is when my mother went through high school in the late 50's) I love. The cars (my favorite car a 57 chevy- black with flames) the language they spoke, the poodle skirts, bobby socks, saddle shoes. hair styles, music dances. I so wish I had been there- I often feel like I have missed having it.

Just wondering who else feels "lost" in a time zone they don't feel they belong in.

I have mixed feelings about it. Hearing someone like Shirley MacLain (sp?) really just reinforces that she's kinda nutty, but I think there is definitely something to it. There's probably a term for it, but I've had the thought (though not often) that I may have been reincarnated from a FUTURE life that has passed. If that makes sense. That's cool about the vibe you're getting though, and until someone can absolutely prove that you're wrong, I'd say it's very possible.

I too, have mixed feelings. From my religious upbringing it is not something that I would normally believe in. But if I wanted to get creative I could say that there are only a set amount of souls and they keep being "re-born" until the final day of collection.

Personally I can relate totally to Shawn. There are experiences I have a close affinity too, such as the great fire in San Francisco in 1906, yet I can't explain why. And there is a particular house on the coast of North Myrtle beach...the first time I saw it was on a solitary walk about 20 years ago. I was on a family vacation and walking the beach one afternoon and when I saw it I stopped and my blood ran cold. It was as if I had memories of that house. Every year from that point on, when I would go to the beach, I'd walk to that house and just stand and stare at it.

Things like that I can't explain. Maybe I'm just experiencing some wierd chemical exchange in the synapses of my nerves. Or maybe I just have an overactive imagination. Or maybe.....

I've been told(in my belief as well) that by my keen interest in Japanese culture and language... Japanese everything, there is a very good chance that I was Japanese in a past life. One of my host mothers there said that I have the personality of a Japanese person from long ago(no one in specific, of course), and she was kind of surprised by it. Everybody tells me that I'm half japanese, despite having a completely europian backround in my family tree. My belief in reincarnation is the only thing holding my back from going with my Lutheran upbringing. But I don't want to get off the subject. I've heard way too many stories backing up the idea to not believe it.

I believe in reincarnation.

In the sixth grade, we did a study on Greek Mythology, and i'll tell you, after i saw the first book i was going to research, i felt a connection of sorts to Greece. I felt almost...pulled towards it and still have a very strong tie to it. Everything Greek gives me this strange feeling in the pit of my stomach, or a longing feeling.
It is my firm belief that i lived in ancient Greec. Egypt and Rome as well. I have such an interest in the mythology of all three that i have actually spend hours upon hours watching television shows about Egypt. I remember watching such shows and then all of a sudden thinking, "no, that's not right" or something like that about something said on the show. I don't know what it is though.
I'm also quite certain that i have lived lives with my best friend before. We have such a strong connection that it seems very likely to me.

I believe that energy is eternal. Science tells us that energy cannot be destroyed, it can only be transformed, and as such it must go somewhere. Where, I cannot say, nor can I say for sure if any of ourself goes with that energy when it goes where ever it goes.
A lot of pagans firmly believe in reincarnation, to the extent that we choose what our next life will be, that we can find out about past lives, a lot of complicated aspects. I haven't decided what makes the most sense to me. But I don't rule out the possibility because I, too, have déjà vu'ed.

reincarnation is about the only thing i believe in, spiritually.
like elexina said, energy cannot be destroyed, and if our 'souls' were in heaven or hell, woulndt you think that scientists would have picked that up by now?
