Somebody please tell me: Is telekeinesis for real? According to the stuff I read and see on TV, nobody has been able to provide concrete evidence that objects--even very small ones--can be, or ever have been, moved by the power of the mind. Have any of you actually experienced telekinesis? What about levitation? I admit; I'm a skeptic. All this stuff sounds like something out of "Star Wars" to me, but I am willing to consider the possiblity that some of these things might actually exist.

While I have never personally witnessed such a thing, several years ago, I knew a guy who claimed his father-in-law had this ability. Apparantly it was somewhat scary. His wife wouldn't let him do it in the house.

Yes, it is possible and yes, it does sound like something out of Star Wars, but trust me, there are Jedi out there, too. ;-)

Elexina, have you ever personally made anything move with concentration? If you are sick, can you use witchcraft to make yourself well? If you made yourself well, you wouldn't be breaking your rule of 'harm none'.

Yes, but I am not very good at it. I haven't had the time to develop the skill.

Yes, I can.

No, of course I wouldn't be breaking the 'harm none' rede. Why do you add that?
Witchcraft done for good does not do that -unless, of course, you're doing it for someone who does not want it, in which case it does not exactly do harm but if it is unwelcome it should not be done.

Elexina, it's me again. Can you make other people well, that don't believe in witchcraft, or do they have to be a believer, too? If you can, will the person have to be there with you, in order to concentrate on them?

Guys, this is a forum for Telekinesis. If you wish to talk about witchcraft, please take your questions/discussion to the Nature Religion Forum

Thank you: Silja (moderator of both forums)

Long I let this question lay, considering, pondering the possible inside the seemingly impossible.

I have waited for one who does possess this talent to step forward, yet none have.

Then I turn on TV and watch this special about how the KGB tried to harness this and similar talents, and how the CIA have done the same.

Then I turn to the Holy Bible where it clearly states that 'Thou Shalt not Suffer a Witch to live'. And the Church who satanize any form of 'unnatural' ability.

I consider then the question in light of the burning times, and in light of human understanding and it dawns on me, no one who possesses this particular talent would willingly say they do. Especially if they have read "Carrie".

It would be reasonable to think that a telekinetic would be most shy about this particular ability, and yes, there have been a few cases which were not explained away, leaving one answer only - that the person was able, through the mind, to move small objects.

Like I said, the CIA and the KGB and God only knows who else did serious study into the matter, and in the case of the KGB, they even filmed demonstration - which those films, due to the collapse of the USSR, got out.

Our culture is based on the notion that we can move mountains with the faith of a mustard seed - However, we also are strongly based that we (humanity) are not powerful enough to do these things and that only and outside source (God or Satan in most cases Satan) can do these things.

'Demon possession' cases have reports of moving objects 'seemingly' of their own volition - These were witnessed by clergy, men who would not be willing to lie about something like that and who may have been more intent on pointing out other signs of demonic possession with in the 'victim'. I think that these incidences were little understood manifestations of talent, which where 'cured' through spiritual means. In other words, 'programing' the victim that they were somehow being used by another power (satan) to do these things that were 'ungodly' thus 'bad'.

That, my friend, is telekinesis in a nutshell. A misunderstood and most feared talent which may have been manifested in many, but through shear pressure of fear, ignorance and our societies concepts of Right and Wrong, Good and Evil, will always silence those who possess a particular talent.

Cheers

David
