From Islamic tradition:

it is said that in the first 16 verses of Chapter 80 of Quran, the holy prophet (peace be upon him) was rebuked by God.

These first 16 verses relate to which companion of the holy prophet (peace be upon him), on account of which the he was rebuked?

It was a blind man that came to Mohammed for advice, and he turned the man away.

The name of the blind man was 'Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum'. There after when the holy prophet (peace be upon him) met the blind man then often refered to him as "Welcome unto him on whose account my Sustainer has rebuked me."

Abdullah ibn Maktum was also one of the companions who learnt quran by heart. May Allah bless his soul.
