Question:
I have heard a lot of views about all star voting in baseball. I do believe sometimes a player may get snubed that should go. I have thought about a system that would let sports writers have the main vote.[ sort of like hall of fame voting.] then let the players play a part with some of the voting. then let the fans make some of the last picks after it has been narrowed down. what do you think.

Choices:
Leave it as it is.
Sports writers, players. and fans.
Players only.
Other.

If it is supposed to be an all star game, let players and managers from each league vote on their league. If it is supposed to be a popularity contest, let the fans only vote and let Dick Clark run it.

jusork.
As of now the fans and players vote. then the managers for each team will pick the final players. the problem some people have with this is the bigger city teams such as New York, Boston, etc have a bigger fan base. so a guy in K.C. may be having a better year but the guy in New York will get more votes. It seems most times it works out ok. but there is always fans that fell a player on their team was robbed from lack of votes.
I hear a lot of blame going on Boston fans and the two New York team fans. I have nothing against them. thats the rule why not use it.
Thanks

Ah, I see, thanks. I guess that's a reasonable idea then.
