Hi! I have seen a kit that is supposed to repair damaged cds and dvds. Does anyone know if it actually works and does what it says?

I have no personal experience with it, but Alera Technologies makes a repair device that uses buffing wheels and fine abrasives to remove surface scratches. Here are 2 reviews of it: LA Audio File and Oceania. They say it repairs most disks with minor damage. Good luck!
