Last night I turned on one of our VCRs which I had programmed to tape a show and hit rewind to find the end of the show. I pushed stop and play but the machine kept rewinding. No matter what I did all it would do was rewind. When it got to the end of the tape I could finally eject it. I unplugged that machine and hooked up a different one and put the tape in it and all it wanted to do was rewind so I thought it was the tape. I put in a new tape and programmed it to tape a show, but this morning when I turned it on all it would do was rewind. Since it's doing it on two different machines I can't figure out what's wrong.

I think I've figured it out. It was an errant remote that got buried under some stuff and must have been interferring with the vcr. Thank you.
