We have Directv satellite service, and have never been able to program the VCR to record various channels due to the fact that there are ly 2 spaces for the channel number into the VCR Recording Set-Up Menu. (Our channels are all 3 digits.) Does anyone know if it's possible to program the VCR to record in this situation? If so, how?

Well, we have DISH, but I imagine it's about the same... We set it up so that the VCR is hooked into the TV, and so records whatever is being shown, no matter what the satellite reciever is set on, the TV is on the same channel all the time... you just set the VCR to record channel 3(or whatever) then program the satellite to autotune to the program you want to record.
