Apparently, if you haven't cleaned the Blaster virus off of your computer yet you will start getting pop-up windows telling you to go to the Microsoft website for a Windows update.

It's intended to overload the Microsoft website and shut it down.

This particular attack only effects computers running:
Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0
Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003

So, if you're not using one of these Operating Systems, you need not worry about this one.

If you do have one of these systems, your computer will likely shutdown by itself with the error message: Shutdown Initiated by NT Authority /System.

If you're running one of the affected computer systems, you will need to get the security patch from Microsoft. Security Bulletin
