Ran Spybot yesterday and now my audio player is gone. This is the player my employer gave me, not Win Media or any of those. Any chance I can get it back?

Where do applications go when they're deleted, anyway?

Thanks for any help. Need to have this by Monday.

Can you remember what the player was called Catty?
Sounds to me that your downloads are being scattered on the Program files folder
I did an answer the other day which told the person to make a dedicated download folder (within the Program Files folder) where they could download (and all downloads are directed to as default), then open the program and still have the downloaded file in reserve if you need it? (no loss!) Wink

Thanks bedstor. Actually, as sometimes happens, Catty solved this problem through System Restore and tried to delete the post but was denied permission.

Thank you so much for helping.

I see that you've already recovered your audio program file and that is great. For future reference...

With both Spybot and Ad-Aware you can "Recover" any files that you want back. In the "Spybot" program, click the "Recovery" button.

Thank you so much, Big Guy! That is valuable information, and good news.

The lengths to which you are willing to go to help us, the unwary/unwise, continually amazes me. I couldn't keep my machine going without you.

Love, Catty Wink

I haven't given this tip out for a long time
If you know where the Execute file for the Program is located. Found by clicking Properties >Find Target on the folder.
Drag and Drop it onto the Start button then all you do in future is click Start and look in the top Left hand column and click on the icon for that program (In bold text) Ps you are allowed entries in both the Start Menu and in this Location. Though to use the options (if any?) on the program you have to use the Start menu (right hand column) OK?

Allright, more good information! I'll keep that in mind or in some more accessible place for the future.

Thanks, bedstor, My Hero.
