I somehow picked up some program called SpyAxe that keeps popping up and telling me I'm infected. I deleted it but I keep getting the pop up from the lower left corner of my screen. Help!

Juan I've been having problems of my own and I've ran into quite a few references to SpyAxe.

If the above fix doesnt do it you might try this page. I went through the procedure myself, it isn't as complicated as it seems at first glance.

Just a followup. Despite getting rid of the program, it continued hijacking my homepage. I went to system restore and that took care of it.

I highly recommend the program "SpywareBlaster". It works at preventing hijacks. You can download the new version 3.4 here. Choose SpywareBlastersetup3.4.exe from the list.

Also, this page will check your system for some common infections: Parasites
