You should always have a firewall, even if its not Zone Alarm. Personally, I use Sygate's free version, which is very effective. Just use this link, and click the word "Download": http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,8132,00.aspOnce downloaded, be sure to register it, or you'll get a window popping up when you turn the computer on till you do. Dont worry, its to register, its still the free version. If you have any further problems, please post back. You might also consider using Avast as an anti virus, instead of AVG, which has a lower Trojan detection rate than Avast. It can be downloaded at the following: http://www.avast.com/eng/down_home.htmlJust click the word "English" or the language of your choice. chris

Chris? The Sygate Firewall is being withdrawn shortly There are some other choices on this article http://blogs.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2005/11/symantec_to_dit.html Though Free firewalls are very few now Avast is very good teamed with Spywareblaster And If you are running XP the Microsoft Antispyware program is also very good. They are promising a stronger program or update in a few weeks.Regardless I recommend you install this even if its at the end, possibly of this generation ? And of course do have a firewall in place as a last resort on Broadband. Even if its the Windows version!(Need the SP2 Security upgrade)
