I caught it, AVG found it, but couldn't cure it. I googled it and found there is a MS patch, but was leery of using it, having had so many problems before after downloading MS 'repairs'. (I run under Win 98 SE).
An advice site said since it is in a cache file, it would be sufficient to just run
* Accessories **System tools ***Disk Cleanup and I did do that. AVG now gives me a clean report.
But am I o.k. now?

bab, Are you using XP? If so, you should disable System Restore to permanently get rid of it. Also, if you have Win ME, same thing, then re-enable it after rebooting. This site can tell you how:
If these scans show a clean bill of health, then your system should indeed be clean. Please keep in mind that there is sometimes disagreements over what is actually a worm virus. For instance, McAfee says the program file "BackWeb Lite" is a virus, yet other dismiss it completely.
