Is there a file / folder where all my systems passwords are stored ie answerpool + other websites.
That I can copy onto a floppy in case of loss

I dont like writing them down as that somewhat defeats the object....

I use Roboform for My Form Filling .Can pop up to Auto fill forms (All you do is check the edits where appropiate,) also Password storage It is secure(Can set a "Master" password for extra security Smile). Can store up to a dozen sites details on the "free " version (which is adequate for most people/ 1 user) There is a Pro version which is worth having if there are several users But You have to pay for this. No price details off the help/FAQ Frown
You can import/export saved data to disk only about 25K up/download ! Razz
www.roboform.com (file size is 1.67 MBs)about 5 Mins Smile
All the work you have to do is fill the Registration form out. and then the program does the rest Cool
BTW You do know that AP & DP can be set to Auto log on bypassing the need for Roboform?
Tick the "Remember Me" box on the Login screen on both sites, and you can go straight in and out without typing anything Cool Same procedure applies to both sites Smile

Well no, not all passwords are stored in a single file. Windows passwords (like your dial-up connection and Windows log-on passwords) are stored in a file named *.pwl (The *. means the actual filename varies, but it will have the extension .pwl). You cannot open the file, so there isn't much point in saving it.

You can find the file(s) by doing a seach in your system.

1. Start Button
2. Find
3. Files and Folders
4. In the "Named" box type in: *.pwl
5. Set the "Look in" to: your C:\ drive

For other passwords, the utility program "RoboForm" discussed by bedstore above would be a good method to use.
