Just went to upgrade ZA, and they said that they no longer support Win Me, and sent me to this link:

Zonelabs.com

So, what would be the best thing to do? Update to a newer OS, or try a different firewall? My old emachine probably couldn't handle XP, only 633 MHZ. I saw a free firewall on this page, and I was curious if anyone has tried the free version of Wyvern Works?

pcworld

I do not really want a trial version, any suggestions?

You can use a router for a firewall. That would be be a hardware firewall...no software involved.

I assume that you're using a cable or DSL internet connection.

Helpful site

Linksys makes a good router

I hope something here will help!

Hmmmm, interesting, Dwight. So what about a wireless router? My son has his PC hooked up to it already, one more space left. Can I do it that way? I have DSL, Broadband which has its external modem.

I am not computer pro, but have a clue about wireless net. You need either cable or DSL net. Yes, you need a router connected to your cable box. You also need a wireless card in your computers. The more that card cost, the faster your net is, so don't go cheap.

This is really something that laptop users would invest this type of cash towards. Are you talking laptop computers or standard ones that you can link together?

If you do not use laptop, I would not suggest investing this much cash into wireless. You will get better service and lower cost with linking.

I see what you mean. It's hooked thru the DSL, then the wireless hub. The laptop uses the wireless hub that my son uses. We are all networked together, three pc's in the house. So, I guess I don't need a firewall then if ZA is not going to support WinME.
