2003 is updated to catch more current viruses.

Virus detection is a moving target. Now the hackers will try to write viruses that can defeat 2003; of course then those will be detected by updates, and eventually 2004.

But isn't resubscribing to NAV Live Update therefore keeping your virus definitions and other files upto date just as good as getting another newer version!

Any of the Norton anti-virus program versions are pretty equal when it comes to virus protection. Newer program versions have some added options, but unless those options are things you want, I wouldn't bother getting a new program.

You can go to the symantec site and read about the new program options.

The main thing is to keep your program updated and the virus definition files up-to-date.

For what it is worth, I'm running Norton 2001 on my Win98 system.

so it is ok to run an older version of antivirus program and still having the computer protected at all time, right? roll eyes

Hi everyone...

I have "PC-Cillin" on my new computer ... and miss Norton very much. Just a matter of getting used to things, I suppose.
