Good head's-up Bazcaz. This is exactly why Microsoft has a polict on not sending patches by email. If you ever get an email supposedly from Mocrosoft offering you a patch for any virus or other problem, delete it immediately.
Thanks Methos...did not know about Microsoft's policy. It's getting where I'm afraid to open any e-mail. I got one from my company's security office yesterday about microsoft's new patch...and I was scared to even open that one! But the truth is, there are new patches coming about just about every day until this latest virus is eradicated. And everyone should check Microsoft's site and make sure that their Symantec Antivirus is updated (latest update should be 8/19). And thanks Bazcaz for your link.

Unfortunately, I frequently get these virus warnings, supposedly from M$, forwarded to me by email friends who should know better. I usually look up the hoax on Symantec's website, then copy the URL, and reply back to EVERYONE listed as having forwarded it before. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesnt.
Please, anyone reading this who wasnt aware of Microsoft's policy, as Georgia85 wasnt, dont forward these bogus warnings to everyone you know! Check your anti-virus company's website first to verify if the email has even a small amount of truth to it, thanks!
