As an adware/spyware scanning tool, Bazooka is very fast and very good. A typical scan takes only 3-5 seconds. Removing the adware/spyware, though, is another thing. Bazooka does not, in itself, remove the offending *ware; rather, it advises you to go online and tells you how to remove it manually. That is ok for advanced users who are comfortable editing registries and hunting down files deep inside system folders. For neophytes though, it can be a hassle and even dangerous. I suggest Bazooka be used in tandem with other adware/spyware utilities with auto-removal functions, like Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. Use those to remove the offending bugs, and then use bazooka to check for files and registry entries which escaped removal.
All in all, a good supplementary program to combat malicious and annoying bugs that infiltrate our systems.

The best freeware programs to stop these pests landing landing on your computer in the first instance are Spywareblaster,Ad-Aware and AVG(from Grisoft.com) also Avast! is very good plus Microsoft Defender
All good value and updated regularly The program you are looking at has only 600 references, whereas the smallest database of the others (SpywareBlaster)has over 2000 references
