What this means is that your real e-mail has been cloned and is sending out the virus. And the recipient of your e-mail has a fire-wall that blocked your e-mail from going through. I experienced this a lot a few weeks ago with my interactive pager.

Someone you know, who has your personal e-mail address in their address book, has inadvertantly downloaded the "My Doom" virus from an e-mail they have received. That virus then cloned addresses in their address book and started sending out "false mailings" using the cloned addresses.

It's a nuisance but it will stop within a week or two. Meanwhile, you might get some alert messages from people you have never heard of, warning you that you are sending out a virus. Just delete them and don't bother responding.

Here is more information about the My Doom virus:
Network Associates

thanks, Georgia. Now that you mention it, I just remembered that my friend from work got a virus on her computer last week. She said that this one "ate" her anti virus program. That it just disappeared.

Thanks. Smile

This second version of the My Doom virus is capable of destroying documents and applications on your hard-drive. When it came out the first of Feb, all it did was clone your address and be a big nuisance. Guess that was a trial run for the inventers of that virus. Now it's bigger and badder than ever. It deletes Word documents, pictures, and other applications that I don't recall at the moment.
