Usually, if a file cannot be removed because it is running you can restart the computer in Safe Mode and then remove it. Restart your computer. At the first screen or the POST (Power On Self Test) beep, repeatedly press the F8 key. This will open the "Windows Start Menu". Use your Arrow keys to scroll to the Safe Mode option. With Safe Mode selected, press the "Enter" key. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, you will also need to delete the information in the System Restore folder, so that the virus doesn't reinfect the system.
