If you get an e-mail from supposedely Yahoo mail saying that your
e-mail account has been deactivated for some list of reasons and ask
you to check the e-mails details in an attachment, DO NOT OPEN THE
ATTACHEMENT.
If you do it will download a Trojan horse called Cachecachekit and a
W32.spybot.NLX virus and a timemanager.exe virus that will mess up
your computer. Norton antivirus or Norton systems works will take it
out after running a scan in safe mode.
BEST THING IS NOT TO OPEN THE ATTACHMENT AND DELETE THE E-MAIL IS NOT
FROM YAHOO AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR ACCOUNT.

Deactivating an account is a very common scare tactic that bogus companies use to corrupt your system or gain personal information.

I too will pass the warning to my contacts. It is hard to keep up with all the new scams. Thank you for the tip!

Ahh ok, I was just curious, as I get these types of warnings in my emails, and thru my Yahoo messenger all the time. LOL

Not only fake Yahoo, but AOL,PayPal,both banks I use, and some I don't even use...

Whenever you receive something that you have the slightest question about - delete it....

Oh I get alot of those too, and always delete them. I have to remind the wife now and then to do the same, but its not often.
