KaZaa file cannot be removed permanently.

Have you tried to go into the registry to delete the entry? Go to "Start", then "Run" and type in "regedit" (without the quotation marks) then click on "Hkey_local_machine", find "software", then "magnet", right click & select delete, close the window. Run your scan again.

Are you running Windows XP? If so, there is a folder in the C:\Windows directory called "prefetch" that you can safely delete its contents.

XP speeds up the boot process and optimizes the launch of programs by using "prefetching". Windows observes the code and programs that are used immediately upon bootup and creates a list of data to prefetch very early in the boot process. Similarly, as individual programs are launched, Windows keeps track of different files and components that are accessed. The next time the application is accessed, Windows prefetches the necessary items to expedite the application's launch.

This "magnet" folder may be called up by a file within the prefetch folder. If that is the case, locating the prefetch folder and deleting its contents should solve the problem. Windows will rebuild its prefetch database from scratch, but hopefully without the magnet folder.

Just posted a link on another post(few minutes ago) for the Crap Cleaner Program This is very good at deleting all sort of contents of data things on your computer including Prefetch and many other caches also cleans worthless Registry items out (on Issues tab)
and its Freeware

Only thing to do when it opens is tick the boxes on the "tree" to allow or deny the program
to delete the files in that section

Do look under the Application tab as well(Program specific caches here) Windows Program are on the other tab
Next thing press the Analyze Button give it a few minutes and a list is produced with how much space can be regained (Grabs more than Windows Cleanup program

)
Often it's worth doing a Defrag afterwards and Processing Speeds will rise sharply

Thanks for answers guys, but I've tried all those things. I have a prefetch cleaner program that I run every day, and I've deleted it from the registry several times, only to have it show up again within a few days, or less. I've tried about anything I can think of, and so far, nothing has stopped it from coming back. Any other ideas?

There is the HiJackThis Program which is good at manually deleting better than 90% of problems

BUT....The program log needs to be submitted to a specialist forum for somebody to tell you what to delete off the list matter of ticking tick boxes
The other site I post on Has a very busy forum Dedicated to this one program alone

Just been a new reply posted with a registry tweek Chris.

A new box will open with the following:
Value name:
ProxyOverride
Value data:
127.0.0.1;local host
The line under Value data, that includes local host, may be highlighted. It can be edited.
Click into that line and change it :-
remove the ; (semi colon) from in front of ;127.0.0.1;localhost
if there is no semi colon in front of it , put this in front of it:-
;www.google.com
Now your new Value data entry should look like this:
;www.google.com;127.0.0.1;localhost
come out of regedit.
