there is something terriblely wrong w/ my computer. my internet explorer browser is allways redirected to a page called about blank. i ran nortan 2003 but it didnt find a virus. its getting really old pressing stop all the time to prevent the redriction. i was talking with my electronics teacher and told him my computer has slown down since i got it. he said i had a virus. i all ready defraged the drive but it made little differance. i really need some help. it took me ten minutes to be able to post this!! any help would be appriceated.

If you have windows XP, I would restore to a prior date.If not let us know more details about your computer, if you have installed some programs lately etc...

Sounds like the CWW Trojan? This is very common and causes Blank or changed Homepages on IE Go here and download this program (takes 10 seconds or less(150K))Install click the FIX button and if the trojan is present the program will blank your Home page (says if it has found anything) and it deletes the trojan file All you have to do is manually type in your Homepage address into Internet Explorer and save it.Don't delete the CW Shredder Program it might save your bacon another time? And... download and install Spywareblaster from www.javacoolsoftware.com .This prevent things like this happening again (It has about 1000 entries alone on the CWW trojan ) and once installed all you have to do is see if there is an upgrade about once per month? and enable the protection on the new items. Take you 30 seconds?
