Lots of programs can generate a kernel32.dll error, can you tell us what program you're using before the error happens?

The best thing is to post the EXACT text of the error message. Please mention your version of Internet Explorer.

Hi chellio77, this from annoyances.org
"..are you using McAfee Antivirus? this problem tends to occur with McAfee versions 5x, it's usually cured by disabling the Internet and e-mail scans. I think McAfee have a fix for this - not too sure - I'm using Norton (there was also a problem with Norton 2001 and Windows Me which is fixed in the 2002 version but that's another story). The latest McAfee version 6 also works fine with Windows Me.."
I also remember my boss at work having this problem (running win me and ie6), he "sorted it" by booting into safe mode then restarting!
might be worth a try?

Thanks everyone for the links...problem still not solved after trying various things suggested.
I am leaning towards a corrupted java program, seems to occur most frequently when I am attempting to play games (pogo.com) so I am going to look into that.
Now my question is...could I be right? I am not too sure if java is one of the programs that could cause the errors as I haven't yet run across it in any of the help pages.
Anywho I shall try and if it's of no help to replace the java program I will return :O)

The current version of Microsoft Java is the Microsoft VM build 3810. Please rename the file to MSJav3810.exe. Double-click the file to install.

If you don't want to go through the bother of troubleshooting Ie, you could try using a different browser. Most of which are free software, and you can uninstall them at any time. Some popular ones include: Opera ans Mozilla (PCWorld's Best Browser of 2003)
