I'm going to collage this fall and I plan to bring my HP Laptop with me for school work and I was wondering is their any software that I can put like some sort of a tracking device on it? I'm not shure if I want to trust my roommate(s) with a expencive computer. Putting a lock on the computer case won't do much good. I can always put a pass work to log on but they can get pass that easy I herd. I want my stuff to be safe. Any tips? Thanks.

I have Windows XP Home Edidion. It's an HP Pavillion. I use it alot. It's about 1 year old. It's on all of the time. I use it for e-mail, web surfing and among other things. What other info may I provide? Thx.

You have room mates that are that untrustworthy? Hmm, well, with XP, once you set the password to get into Windows, if its a good password, they shouldnt be able to get into your laptop. Check out koicarp's link for some info.
