Recently, for some reason, I got all of these new folders added to my favorites. One of them is "casino online" - a bit ago, I had a shortcut to my desktop called "casino online" and deleted it, as I don't know where it came from.

Normally, I can merely right-click and delete things, but these things are engraved in stone, or so it seems.

How the heck do I get rid of these new favorites that have decided to park themselves on top of MINE??

Grrrrrrrrrr!!!

I hate things that are invasive. Mad

Try this link to check for common browser Hijacks: Parasite Check

I suggest you download the program "HijackThis" from this page, then use use the Help Forum link to post your HijackThis log for assistance.

Please be sure to scan your system with updated versions of both Ad-Aware and Spybots before running the HijackThis scan program. One of these programs may find and remove the offending program file. Help with Ad-Aware and Spybots: Okay, Teach Me

Also, there are many free programs available for download that claim to be spyware removers. Many of these programs don't remove spyware, but rather they are themselves spyware programs.

Please note, serious damage can occur if incorrect entries are deleted, so be careful about only following advice from trained technicians. This link is a good one to use: PcPitStop

Note: you can also use the PCPitStop.com site to scan your system for spyware: Spyware Check

Once you have successfully removed the problem program file, I suggest you download, install and run "SpywareBlaster" which will help with keeping these pests off of your system. SpwareBlaster

I hope something here helps!

Excellent choices Dwight... Tree, have you tried uninstalling the program either through your Start/Programs/Casino Online/Uninstall or through Windows uninstaller located in your "Control Panel/Add or Remove" function? You may have to go into Safe Mode in some instances to remove some of these pesky programs.
