Just figured out why I couldn't do Symantec's online scan, and wanted to let anyone know that is having the same trouble. There is a bad ActiveX Control file that was downloaded to my pc previously that had to be removed before it would let me scan online again. So that others do not bang thier heads trying to figure out why it doesn't work, you need to dowload this program called Symantec Security Check Cleanup Tool to remedy this problem. Info can be read here to get the patch, I then had no problem doing the online scan.

Hhhhmmmmm, I've never had to download or use a clean up tool in order to have AVG work properly. Once again Norton shows how bloated and obtrusive their programs are.
