If you are an AOL account Holder May I draw your attention to this Posting I made on a UK forum which highlights a seriously bad Login issue Have you had any problems like this recently?
I noted it says on the Blog link feedback (on that posting) that other sites have weak password entry setups too Like Amazon any comment on that?
PS I have made some temporary fix suggestions to tide you over if this affects you, and pass this on to any AOL contacts

So long as the password was strong (long, with good alphanumeric mix) to begin with, it is just as secure as ever. In order to exploit the hole, one would need to dictionary attack it, or brute force - which is what would be used on a standard password anyway. (Which would be blocked by pre-existing rate limiting)
It may actually be an undocumented feature. Countless times I've accidentally hit the / key before pressing Return. With AOL's current arrangement, the password would still be accepted. Clever, really.
