Reticulate evolution is another term for Biodiversity
I am not a University Graduate(but I'm good with finding words) I mixed the Keywords together (on Google)and produced these results (and got many "Hits") Smile Hope this helps?

Reticulate evolution and biodiversity are two very different things.

Generally, we see evolution as a species changing over time or a species branching into two species. Reticulate evolution is something like the opposite. It is two species merging.

One example is mitochondria. We all have mitochondira in our cells, but these mitocondria have their own DNA. It's pretty well accepted that they are the result of, long long ago, a bacteria-like organism getting inside another bacteria-like organism.

Another example is two closely related plants interbreeding (cross-fertilizing).
