Hi Mozart56, Found this HERE Question: Would my clone have the same fingerprints as I do?
William Morgan is a professor of Cellular & Structural Biology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He answers:
This is a very good question. The short answer is no. Identical twins do not have the same fingerprint pattern, and neither would clones. The reason is that fingerprint pattern is not entirely genetically determined. Rather, fingerprint pattern is determined in part by the pattern of nerve growth into the skin, and this is not exactly the same even in identical twins.
More A "human clone" is a time-delayed identical twin of another person. A clone is not an exact replica of the original, but just a much younger identical twin. As with identical twins, the clone and the orignal person will have different fingerprints HERE
Nature provides us with the natural form of clones: identical twins share the same genetic makeup and even developed in the same uterus. Nevertheless, their fingerprints are not identical, though similar. The formation of fingerprints is partly the result of a stochastic process.HERE
I visited a few more sites on this subject and didn`t find any conflict of opinion so I think it is safe to assume that although they would be quite similar they would not be identical.
