i have to do a project that involves organizing insect specimens showing their ecological relationship. any help with display ides?

You could recreate the ecological environment with photos of the area and then add to the photos using actual specimens such as branches, leaves, grass, dirt, etc. Then using pins, attach the insects into their specific environment. The display could be on a corkboard divided in sections - or you could recreate all the ecological environments in a large box with the bottom being the ground (dirt/lakes/rivers) and the sides supporting branches from trees. If you went this route you might want to hot glue the insect specimens into this display.

I'm sure whatever you do will be superb!
