As big a fan as I am of Pete Rose, I stupidly

baseball events of all time---I think that Pete's came in with #6.

Kelleygirl, this story has the information about the top 10 you need.

I was surprised, too, to see Pete there. I don't feel too sorry for him, because he knew the consequences of his actions beforehand, but it was nice to see him included.

Mastercard didn't have to insist on anything. It was not a Major League Baseball sponsored promotion, so they couldn't have kept him away anyway.

I'll be the other leper here - I'm glad Pete was part of the presentation.

And that list was questionable - howzabout a list of the real top MOMENTS (not EVENTS like Mastercard included) in MLB history?

A couple -

* Joe Carter's WS HR
* Ozzie's barehanded diving grab

etc. etc. ADD TO THIS LIST !!!!!!

-Ron Swoboda's miracle catch.
-Rick Monday saving the flag.
-Clemens throwing a chunk of bat at Piazza.

And what about Hoyt Wilhelm's first at bat ever? He hit a HR, and never hit another for 21 years. Funny moment.
