I was looking through my cabinets a little while ago and saw tucked away in the back a can of condensed sweetened milk......yummy. anyway, I got it out and grabbed a box of instant rice. I dumped the can of milk in a saucepan, added about a cup and 1/2 of milk, slowly brought it to a boil, added about 2 cups of rice, some cinnamon and nutmeg, a handful of raisins stirred and shut off the heat. covered it and let it stand for a few minutes. DEEEEEELICIOUS Big Grin I suppose you could call this rice pudding, (oops I forgot I added 4 T of margarine too) whatever you call it it is fast and fattening and yummy. while we are on the subject anybody else got any "accidental" recipes they would like to share? Wink

MMM, sounds yummy, love rice pudding and I even have a can of condensed milk, but I think it is the chocolate kind, hmmmmm. I do make a concoction I call sticks and stones..... 1 egg white beaten with 1tbsp of water 1/4 cup of sugar and cinnamon to taste add bag of nuts stir til coated dump into large roasting pan set aside, in the bowl that you used for nut mixture (do not rinse clean) add 1tbsp of melted butter and a couple of big squeezes of maple syrup or honey..(hey I don't have measurements I made this part up) anyway add 1lb bag of pretzel sticks or tiny pretzel knots stir til coated add to nut pad mix well bake in 250 degree oven for about 1 hour stirring every 15 min, let cool now you have a yummy crunchy salty sweet mix. big grin

Last minute fruit jello. Drain the fruit, save the juice and add to the jello. I threw it all in a shallow pan and put it in the fridge with the intent of adding Cool Whip to the top after it had set up a bit. When it was about half set up, I had a brilliant idea and scooped out about 1/2 cup of the jello and whipped it into the Cool Whip and then added it all to the top of the jello. It gave the Cool Whip a nice color and a bit more taste and looked a bit "fancy", not like a last minute effort.
