Bake one cake mix, (any flavor), in one round and one square pan. Cool completely. (Round cake isn't needed for this so you might frost it separately). Set cooled square on a baking sheet, place hard 1 quart brick of ice cream on the cake. Trim the cake, leaving 1 inch around the ice cream. Keep in freezer while making a 7 minute frosting. Make frosting, cover the cake with it and bake at 500 degrees 3-5 min. or till lightly browned. Serve at once.
7 Minute Frosting 2 1/2 cups sugar 3 egg whites 6 tbs. water 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cream of tarter 2 tsp. vanilla Beat over a low flame in a double boiler till thickened...Frost cake.
