This proberbly should come under science. Anyway... i think man landed on moon on 20th July _____ and left the moon on 21 July ____. Can anyone besides telling the year... tell the exacttime when man left the moon. If possible in hours, minutes & seconds.
Difficult isnt it ?

Landed 20th July 1969 at 10.56 pm EDT and left 21 hours and 30 minutes later. The moonwalk lasted 2 and a half hours for Armstrong.

Thanks but is it possible to know the time when their ship left the moon.

The LM (lunar module) departed from the moon on July 21, 1969 at 17:54:01 UT. Total time on the lunar surface: 21 hours, 38 minutes, 21 seconds. Source

I may have misunderstood the question. Are you asking when the command module, containing all three astronauts, departed from lunar orbit to begin the return to earth?

If so, the website I quoted doesn't apparently say.

17:54:01

Oh my GOD. Oh my Lord. It cant be.
PLEASE SEE QURAN CHAPTER 54, VERSE 1.
THIS IS TOOOO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE. UUUFFFF. I thought some of the muslims were just playing with numbers. They still maybe playing with numbers. BUT PLEASE DO SEE CHAPTER 54 VERSE 1.

I will explain later.

Since so many people are here. Has anyone looked at what i requested ?

Professor
I found the Quran at this site.

quote:
Surah 54. The Moon
1. The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder.

Is that the correct verse?

bik74
yes Professor, you are right.

054.001
YUSUFALI: The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder.
PICKTHAL: The hour drew nigh and the moon was rent in twain.
SHAKIR: The hour drew nigh and the moon did rend asunder.

Please could you tell me what you understand from this verse.

It is exactly at the time 17:54:01 , when

''Their work included the collection of 22 kg (48 lbs) of rock samples and core tube samples and setting up a solar wind experiment, a seismometer to detect moonquakes, and a laser reflector'.
the rocks so collected above were simply no longer part of the moon. Moon cleft asunder. No doubt its a neglible part of the moon... but nonetheless. These rocks are now never to return to moon.

What do you think. Dont get angry.

Professor
It never occurred to me to get angry. Smile

I don't regard the correspondence as especially meaningful. This kind of numerical coincidence (involving only the minutes and seconds -- the hour depends on the time zone on earth, ignored in this numerologic analysis) is perhaps more common than you realize, if you look hard enough. The verses are somewhat enigmatic and ambiguous. I hardly think that the effect of Apollo 11 was to "cleft asunder" the Moon, and you agreed it was "negligible." And what's this got to do with "judgment?"

It's easy to find events, retrospectively, to fit any given verse. This is similar to the so-called prophesies of Nostradamus. It's the literary equivalent of looking at the random shapes of clouds and seeing animals, faces of famous people, etc. We humans are always finding patterns -- most of which are "false positives" of no real significance. That's how our brains work.

If the verse had been more specific, or if all the numbers in all the missions to the moon somehow referenced scripture in a systematic way, that would be noteworthy.

If this helps validate your belief system, then I'm happy for you. But it's my nature to remain skeptical.

I agree completely with you Professor, take a look at this site called
Law of truly large numbers (coincidence).

How many coincidences did people find just playing with "9-11"? There's a list on that site.

Well all the prophets did not give the exact time for day of judgement (as they did not know about it). They gave signs when the day of judgement is near.
Only few of the signs given by Muhammed (peace be upon him) are part of Quran. Summary ' day of judgement will not come till the moon is split'. These are refered to as one of minor signs, with regard to the day of judgement being near. Peace be with you.

No it does not help me in my belief system... but it does make me more curious.
There are more things to say about the numbers... but the thing is i have yet to understand them... so cannot discuss them here. It has to with number 19. Which hasnt a lot to do with the verse & is less specific.

I must say however... one is able to reach & get any informationover here.

Do tell me what do you understand of the term 'cleft asunder' ?

11-19-05, 08:39 PM
Professor
cleft = cleaved = split apart

asunder = into widely separated pieces

cleft asunder = torn apart thoroughly

So atleast admit there is big coincidence. Peace be with you.

Cool

There is a coincidence. "How big?" is debatable. Peace be with you, too. Smile
