Why is there a statue of henry the eighth outside of St. barthalemew's hospital?

Sort of yes. When henry the eight was founding the church of england, he kept taking down all different religious institutions. he was going to take down St. barthalemew's hospital because St. barthalemew = religious institution. The distruction was petitioned against, and when henry the eighth allowed the hospital to remain standing, they put up a statue of him as a thanks.
