What philosipher would 'attend' Philosophy meetings in his 'glass cabinet' and on the role call it would always say ________ is present but not voting?

Certainly sounds like the late lamented and embalmed one. His head is still well preserved but the body was not such a success and is largely reconstituted with other material. The head is still in his old college (University College, London ), with its hat, but under slightly better security than formally; even in my day students reported that it was being kept in an ordinary cupboard (closet) though it had been 'kidnapped' at least the once by students from a rival college. The whole ensemble of clothed body and head were still being solemnly placed at meetings then,I understood.

Bentham it is.
