Posted Hide Post Blowed if I know ! A ship of that type would have three, two main anchors and a third as a light or centre anchor. Trouble is, one source says the combined weight of her anchors was 31 tons but another says the third anchor weighed 15 tons ! I do know how many propellors she had. She certainly had four ! Three were on the ship herself but one was kept at home as a spare. That one was melted down after the disaster. I have ashtrays made from it. These were sold for charity, as mementos.
